just kind of a random thing. kinda still drowning my voice in effects but not as much lmho
I love the melody
^^
nice job
I'm happy to hear you like it!
I'll be honest, it didn't come out the way I'd hoped. I was hoping to make it much better and much longer, but Beepbox just didn't have the drums I wanted, nor could I find other instruments I was happy with, but I'm glad to hear someone liked it :)
love the energy here ^^ and the melody
EQ-ing out the higher frequencies might help you a bit with bringing some of the sounds out better .. its a little muddy
still awesome as i think you have a unique vision
cool as always
thanks for the advice :3
This one is wild ^^
I love the blippy sound choice and the pacing
nice transitions with the sounds there
Thank you so much, James!
Toast lore is too deep .. i have to do some research to know how to am become toast
Ovi? no bad movies?? ..Personally bad movies are my jam .. a glimpse into chaos is a wonderful ride ..but i don't watch anything usually so i cant judge much..
:3

@Aalasteir i do like "The Room" though for Tommy id say "The house that drips blood on Alex" is my go to .. its an 13 minute indie film that doesn't get much love .. his charm is how out of touch he is .. another one with Tommy that is wild is "Samurai Cop 2"
Anything with Nicolas Cage
"The VelociPastor" OMG this is gold
"Born into The Mafia" XD
"Tokyo Gore Police" is a wild one...
"Laserblast" old and stupid
"The Windmill" was a blast but it was because it was so bad we had it on mute and acted out the the speaking parts ... we laughed so hard
"Italian Spiderman" another one to watch on mute and do the speaking parts
"From Beijing with Love" is a must see
"Food Fight" is a classic XD
"The Mole Song: Undercover Agent Reiji" though im not sure its bad..
i do like "Sharknado" but have only seen a few bits of it .. Dumb as hell but i like dumb .. may i raise you "Ghost Shark"
id say "Birdemic" but that one is a hard one to get through .. well most of these are hard to get through but that's the point XD sifting through the trash to find the gold as it were
the list goes and goes but it better to have a group watch so you can make fun of them
even if you watch with an online group its better
@OviManic i understand that ... all media is like that for me at this point. though I've never bought anything from a bargain bin other than "Tremors"
im sure if you had the right group you'd like some of those terrible movies
I understand bad movies are their own form of entertainment: The Room is an obvious contender for that! However, in my case, I grew tired of the bargain bin, trend-chasing slop because my mother used to LOVE SciFi when we had cable TV. Around that time, that specific channel had so much movie schlock, you start to spot the tropes once you watch enough of them. It started getting real lame after that.
Great to see James! What's a bad movie that you like? The Room is a classic!
reminds me of a blend of "Regular Show" and "The Postal Service"
really good feels with this
Thank you so much! I really like Regular Show; it's awesome.
Dope
very introspective and atmospheric .. I feel focused while listening
the sounds are clean.. Bass is wide, sounds good .. i could see this as a menu music in a game.. maybe a character select or a spaceship room
way cool
thanks James :3
I like this .. very nice
This feels like a location
very nostalgic
Thank you! Many people do say my soundtracks are Nostalgic so that's a good thing! x3
This night was a bucket of laughs
Really fun
listening to me loosing my train of thought hah
Thank you so much! I fully agree. You have a great sense of humor!
The breaks call to me
intense and introspective
Its feels like dusk in a cityscape
lots of imagery comes to mind
Love it
The breaks are actually a hyper chopped and glitched version of some random loop I found laying around on my PC. There's this function in Mixcraft, I don't know if other DAWs have it, that will allow you to time stretch to the tempo you want, then subdivide into parts. I did that in something like 16ths, snipping out what individual hits I wanted, selected all and un-stretched to get the OG quality back, made some glitches and different pitches, then had a OCD copypaste palooza to make some grooves.
The real fun was chopping up my bass and guitars to make those dramatic pauses with the breaks!
Now about that un-stretch -- when chopping a break that way, it's paramount to revert back to original time on the samples, or they will sound super wonky and weak. The reason I stretch them first is so I can easily subdivide without having to manually find each transient and perc hit! Select all and snap back to 100% speed and they're good to go, with the hits spaced out as they would be at the same tempo as my project :)
