reminds me of a blend of "Regular Show" and "The Postal Service"

really good feels with this

Aalasteir responds:

Thank you so much! I really like Regular Show; it's awesome.

Dope

very introspective and atmospheric .. I feel focused while listening

the sounds are clean.. Bass is wide, sounds good .. i could see this as a menu music in a game.. maybe a character select or a spaceship room

Sick stuff!

I LOVE THIS VIBE

well made
The bass is killer .. deep and sinister

The breaks call to me

intense and introspective
Its feels like dusk in a cityscape
lots of imagery comes to mind
Love it

ADR3-N responds:

The breaks are actually a hyper chopped and glitched version of some random loop I found laying around on my PC. There's this function in Mixcraft, I don't know if other DAWs have it, that will allow you to time stretch to the tempo you want, then subdivide into parts. I did that in something like 16ths, snipping out what individual hits I wanted, selected all and un-stretched to get the OG quality back, made some glitches and different pitches, then had a OCD copypaste palooza to make some grooves.

The real fun was chopping up my bass and guitars to make those dramatic pauses with the breaks!

Now about that un-stretch -- when chopping a break that way, it's paramount to revert back to original time on the samples, or they will sound super wonky and weak. The reason I stretch them first is so I can easily subdivide without having to manually find each transient and perc hit! Select all and snap back to 100% speed and they're good to go, with the hits spaced out as they would be at the same tempo as my project :)

A warning to the wise

Distributers sites are lame for many reasons
and the YouTube algorithm has been messed up since 2016 :(
This place is the best for response and is the bast place for growth as in artist

This is packed with awesome information here for artist and for life
I wish I had ADR3-N's info recall ability

Amazing listen as always

ADR3-N responds:

You wish you had MY recall?!?! That's wild! I felt like I was forgetting what I was talking about mid sentence, every other sentence! I'm glad you found it interesting!

Aalasteir responds:

"mo money mo problems"

You are absolutely right. ADR3-N always makes this place better to be, and I can say with full confidence that she has made Newgrounds better. We can all learn from her example of what it means to be part of the community.

The YouTube algorithm is an absolute mess. Thank you for saying that this is the best place to grow. Anyone who's willing to take the steps, I can comfortably say that I have become more attuned to my emotions and the thoughts in my head.

Your genuine kindness and ability to appreciate people without fear make you so strong. I deeply admire that ability; it takes a lot of strength to show appreciation to others.

I strive to be more like you. Thank you, James.
